Job summary

DigiCert is looking for a passionate, experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our vibrant and expanding Cape Town team. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality of our DigiCert DNS Platform. DigiCert owns and operates the brands of DNS Made Easy and Constellix which are known as the industry leaders in the DNS and monitoring industry.

What you will do

• Work in an Agile cross-functional team and providing feedback/estimates in stand-ups, design sessions etc.
• Develop a deep understanding and depth of the DigiCert products and infrastructure
• Analyse and timeously help troubleshoot customer issues by adopting a client-first approach
• Write and review test plans
• Execute test plans
• Write UI as well as backend automation tests
• Collaborate with developers in producing a test strategy for assigned tasks

What you will have

• 4+ years Testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma (Preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
• Extensive experience using API Automation tools like Rest Assured (Java) and Postman.
• Extensive experience using UI Automation tools like Playwright (preferred) & Selenium.
• Experience with writing and executing API automated tests and REST concepts.
• Experience with writing and executing automated test scripts for web applications using Page Object Model (POM).
• Familiar with SQL and database concepts.
• Familiar with stress and performance testing and tools such as JMeter and K6.
• Familiar with Engineering best practices and software methodologies.
• Comfortable working in a Linux terminal.
• Experience with a scripting language.
• Experience with CI/CD continuous integration.
• ISTQB Testing certificate (Advantageous).
• Effectively communicate, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
• High performance individual who is persistent and self-motivated to accomplish tasks.
• Detail-oriented, quick learner, and problem solver.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
