Dr Oetker SA is looking for a Group Food Service Channel Manager.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE ROLE
As a Group Food Service Channel Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all food service channel activities for Dr. Oetker Professional which entails the Dr. Oetker and Chateau Gateaux product portfolios. Your primary goal will be to develop and execute strategic plans that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and foster strong partnerships within the food service industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the success of food service products and offerings.
WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and market penetration within the food service channel.
• Commercial Strategy Development: Take the lead in formulating comprehensive and data-driven commercial strategies for the food service channel.
• Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the food service sector. Proactively seek out potential customers, partners, and market segments to expand the company's presence and revenue streams.
• Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth by effectively promoting food service products and services to distributors, restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and other food service establishments.
• Key Account Management: Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key accounts and major food service partners.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for product improvement or innovation.
• Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth profitability analysis of food service offerings, pricing models, and promotions. Identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on key performance metrics to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities
• Channel Performance: Monitor the performance of food service channel partners and develop action plans to optimize performance, resolve issues, and address challenges proactively.
• Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights within the food service industry. Utilize this information to refine commercial strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
• Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance within the food service channel and analyze variances against targets. Implement corrective measures and action plans when necessary.
• Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the CCSD and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns, sales materials, and training programs for food service channel partners.
• Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Set competitive pricing strategies and negotiate trading terms with food service partners to ensure profitable and sustainable business relationships.
• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of food service professionals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, CCSD, product development, supply chain, and finance teams to align commercial strategies with broader organizational goals. Collaborate on new product launches, marketing campaigns, and operational efficiencies.
Ideal Qualifications and Competency
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years proven experience as a Food Service Channel Manager or in a similar role within the food industry.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of the food service industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Leadership abilities to manage a team and work collaboratively across departments.
• Familiarity with food service regulations and compliance standards.
