Key Outputs
  1. Overseeing relevant teammates' desks; while a consultant is on leave (sick, annual, or educational), they will be required to step in and handle the consultant's desk in full, managing requotes and ongoing proposals.
  2. Assisting with brochure quotes.
  3. Assisting and developing agent educational bookings and working closely with Sales to ensure these trips are seamless.
  4. Involved in the implementation and testing of systems and procedures.
  5. Chasing provisional bookings for relevant team members.
  6. Following up on dead leads during quiet periods.
  7. Loading bookings for consultants during peak booking periods.
  8. Creative planning and designing of itineraries.
  9. Maintaining consistent and clear communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners, and colleagues.
  10. Participating in rotational emergency duty as per the Retail Emergency BOP.
  11. Working early and late shifts on a weekly rotational basis.
  12. Providing service in a calm and professional manner to agents and guests.
  13. Demonstrating an independent, curious, and proactive attitude.
  14. Upholding the values of &Beyond: Care of the people, land, and wildlife.
Knowledge Required
  1. A passion for delivering service excellence.
  2. In-depth knowledge of Tourplan and all Microsoft systems is advantageous.
  3. Good knowledge of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa is preferable.
  4. Willingness and aptitude to assist and learn continuously.
Skills Required
  1. Good understanding of terms and conditions, product knowledge, third-party, and &Beyond product destinations.
  2. Understanding of travel industry channels.
  3. Knowledge of markets in which &Beyond operates.
  4. Relevant strategic and commercial decision-making skills.
  5. Sales process and methodology understanding.
  6. Problem-solving skills.
  7. Teamwork.
  8. Excellent computer skills including:
  • Tourplan (advantageous)
  • MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • WETU
