Job Description
- Creating sales invoices from the operating software.
- Managing the timely flow of files being passed for billing (invoices and pro-forma's), ensuring accuracy and compliance standards are consistently maintained.
- Working with clients and colleagues in Operations and Account Management to ensure delivery of efficiency and service excellence.
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and responding to enquiries within specified time frames.
- Building and developing excellent working relations with key clients and colleagues.
- Providing supporting documentation for clients and auditors.
- Proactively reviewing pending billing regularly to ensure invoices are raised at the earliest opportunity.
- Ensuring compliance with information security regulations, principles, and obligations in line with ISO standards, with emphasis on continued learning as technology evolves.
- Maintaining software and data encryption in line with compliance and relevant data protection laws globally, ensuring the safety and accountability of all handled data.
- Demonstrating Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) compliance by helping to reduce business greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and increasing recycling in your office.
- Sharing ideas with your sustainability champion to help your office reduce its carbon footprint.
Qualifications
- Finance / Accounting qualification or part qualification.
- Knowledge of billing and the operations function.
- Experience of and/or desire to understand the commercial drivers and operations of a worldwide business.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of accounting software (X3 preferred but not necessary).
- Experience of working with various major currencies.
- Alternatively, previous experience in a similar role (1-3 years).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of sales tax (VAT, GST, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with many international cultures and personalities.
- Organizational and prioritization skills; self-motivated and team-oriented.
- Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptability to change and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
- Customer service-oriented attitude and quick learner.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
