The Core Responsibilities Of The Position Include
- Act as the primary liaison between the Crane Service Provider and the department.
- Collaborate with the crane service provider to ensure all overhead cranes on site are maintained according to the planned work schedule, including load testing and rope replacements.
- Attend to all crane-related breakdowns, including electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation issues, and perform planned work as scheduled.
- Assume a leadership role during shifts, and participate in monthly meetings with the Crane Service Provider and Central.
- Be responsible for the maintenance and refurbishment of spares used for repairs.
- Perform fault finding in various fields such as electrical, mechanical fitting, PLCs, variable speed drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Implement cost-effective maintenance strategies and develop scope of work for crane maintenance and repairs.
- Actively participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to crane issues.
- Work as part of a team to ensure overall plant objectives are met, including safety, quality, production, and plant reliability.
- Verify the crane service schedule with the planner, ensure its execution, conduct crane audits, and review the quality and completeness of work performed.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Engineering Management.
- Ensure proper documentation of crane-related work, including crane files, work orders, purchase requisitions, and compliance with crane register requirements.
- Load and close out work orders for crane maintenance and completed tasks.
