Our client is in the Food Retail Sector and is looking for a dynamic Head of Marketing candidate to lead their Marketing Department.
Core responsibilities of this role:
- Oversee the implementation of the Brand and Marketing strategy.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns that align with the overall Brand and Marketing Strategy.
- Oversee the implementation of the social media marketing strategy, supporting Digital Marketing.
- Set and administer an annual marketing budget.
- Conduct market research studies and review data for marketing campaigns, interrogating the organisation’s databases and external data.
- Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs.
- Analyze key marketing performance metrics, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to formulate insights for the marketing team.

Core Functions:
Stakeholder Management:
- Key liaison for Marketing Director, ensuring bi-weekly meetings are arranged and managed.
- Provide the Leadership Team with regular updates and reports, and present campaign ideas, marketing activations, and creative materials for approval.
- Share updates and insights from company and competitor store visits in regular meetings.
- Develop and execute strategies aligned with the overall Brand and Marketing Strategy.
- Present a campaign and content calendar to the Leadership Team each quarter, including seasonal campaigns, deals, promotions, events, and activations.
- Plan, ideate, brief, and execute all seasonal and marketing campaigns, supporting company deals campaigns across print, radio, and digital media.
- Utilize data for marketing campaigns and conduct consumer research to inform planning.
- Present quarterly reports analyzing marketing performance metrics and campaign results to the Leadership team.
Annual Marketing Budget:
- Set and manage an annual budget, providing updates each quarter and presenting the final budget to stakeholders at year-end.
- Work closely with the Traffic Manager to ensure budget adherence and provide regular updates.
Team Management:
- Guide daily activities of the marketing and creative teams, managing resources and deadlines.
- Implement processes and systems to improve team output and efficiency, working with the Traffic Manager.
- Maintain statuses on Monday.com to ensure team contributions.
- Manage freelance PR activities, setting objectives and overseeing deliverables.
Creative Output:
- Provide clear briefs to the Creative Team for projects and campaigns.
- Allocate design responsibilities, ensuring resource management and deadlines are met.
- Oversee development of creative assets, including campaign materials, OOH advertising, videos, radio ads, and packaging.
- Ensure all assets adhere to company Brand Guidelines.
Digital Marketing:
- Oversee Digital Marketing Strategy implementation, supporting the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Ensure social media integration into all marketing campaigns.
Audience and Industry Insights:
- Conduct quarterly market research and review industry changes, adjusting marketing plans accordingly.
- Perform consumer insights and surveys to monitor trends and buying behaviors.
- Coordinate team store visits bi-weekly to gather insights.
Loyalty Programme:
- Manage the company Rewards programme, delivering marketing campaigns to acquire and retain customers.
- Oversee communications to cardholders.
Sponsorships and Events:
- Analyze sponsorship partnerships and execute delivery with support from Freelance PR.
- Provide ROI reports after each activity.
- Coordinate and manage events, including hosting and providing uplift reports, e.g., Monthly Vinatix events.
