Stewarding Supervisor
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train a team of stewards to ensure they are providing the highest level of service and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas of the ship are clean and well-maintained.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas of the ship are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
- Handle and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to cleanliness.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to stewards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures for the stewarding department.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing training and development for current stewards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Stewarding Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise industry setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications.
