Job Description

Role Purpose: The role is to lead and direct the telesales team to achieve high sales and maintain good patronage from clients; to obtain excellent records in call quality and sales delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct the telesales team as they contact customers via telephone to make sales transactions and support field sales.
  2. Include administrative duties and ensure work is always up to date.
  3. Manage rotating shifts to accommodate a Monday – Sunday work week.
  4. Deliver success against KPI targets and plans through effective management of people.
  5. Create a positive learning environment that empowers and develops Lead Associates, Senior Associates, and Associates.
  6. Be a role model participating in achieving the wider contact center objectives to ensure first-class customer service.
  7. Understand the wider implications of team engagement and its link to reducing attrition and absenteeism.
  8. Facilitate direct sales by managing team members and encouraging sales efforts.
  9. Interact closely with team members to ensure work progress and maximum results.
  10. Create good relationships with team members and motivate them to perform at their best.
  11. Coach team members on duties and transfer knowledge to boost skills.
Experience Required
  • Minimum 12 months of sales team leader experience.
Essential Qualifications
  • Previous and proven leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
