Ensures data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support data management, data governance and data quality.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  1. Support, embed and maintain decision support or, data management solutions.
  2. Manage all identified sources of data.
  3. Create, deliver, and maintain sustainable Data Management and Data Governance practices, artefacts, projects, solutions, and outcomes in collaboration with teams, technologies and processes; in accordance with regulations; both internal and external through documented processes.
  4. Engage and communicate with stakeholders, users, customers, vendors, peers, experts, stewards, team and others, both internal and externally, towards successful outcomes, as a trusted advisor in addition to training and support.
  5. Document and report all activities / artefacts in support of strategic / informed decision making, ensuring all is current and easily accessible to all.
  6. Streamline, standardise, and automate Business Processes, Standards, Operations and Outcomes to ensure fit for purpose and best practices.
  7. Perform all Data related activities including requirements analysis, assessment, profiling, standardisation, enrichment, mapping, scrubbing, massaging, reporting, and drafting, presenting, and maintaining related artefacts.

Minimum Qualifications

NQF 6: 3-year Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in IT / Computer Science or related field

OR

NQF 4: Grade 12

Additional Education - Preferred / Advantage
Experience
  • Three years working experience in data management and governance, preferably with exposure to the full IT function.
  • Five years working experience in data management and governance, preferably with exposure to the full IT function.
Certifications

DAMA

Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry

Level of Engagement & Span of Control: Engagement with all levels within the organisation.

Special Requirements / Employment Condition

Ability to work extended / long hours as and when required.
