Job description

To recruit, maintain, and develop sales representatives and brokers, and set targets.

Develop and maintain sales and marketing plan

  1. Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan
  2. Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan and submit to management
  3. Review and update strategic plan regularly
  4. Compile reports on progress made on strategic plan
  5. Communicate strategic plan to sales representatives

Perform recruitment and selection process for sales representatives

  1. Advertise and market representative positions through presentations
  2. Select applicants in accordance with FSCA requirements and implement assessment selection battery

Conduct training for sales representatives

  1. Facilitate pre-course and post-course training
  2. Responsible for on-the-job assessment of representatives

Conduct coaching process

  1. Provide technical support and motivation to representatives
  2. Coach representatives on improving their selling skills
  3. Recognize performance through the performance management system

Conduct training for brokers

  1. Ensure brokers have sufficient documentation, e.g., application forms
  2. Handle administrative queries on behalf of brokers
  3. Check and advise on business methods of brokers
  4. Update brokers regularly on products and services
  5. Ensure brokers' software is up to date regarding products and services
  6. Build professional relationships with brokers

Identify and develop markets

  1. Identify, penetrate, and develop new markets
  2. Maintain contacts with key decision makers and industry resources
  3. Retain and increase market share
  4. Manage business retention
  5. Conduct product presentations in the market

Maintain production targets and retain business

  1. Ensure and monitor achievement of set targets
  2. Maintain business retention

Comply with FAIS requirements

  1. Supervise representatives when rendering services under supervision
  2. Submit supervision evidence to MSSI monthly
  3. Mentor and train supervisees on product understanding
  4. Observe meetings between representatives and clients

Compliance

  1. Handle complaints
  2. Track number of complaints received and referred for investigation or debarment

Training and Awareness

  1. Provide refresher and new product training
  2. Maintain record of advice and completion of application forms

Other

  1. Adhere to the code of conduct and TCF principles
  2. Comply with risk and audit requirements
  3. Display company values and culture
  4. Provide leadership to your team to help them achieve targets
