Job Description

Isibani seeks to appoint a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer based at the Ekurhuleni District Office. The M&E officer will lead and coordinate M&E activities at the district level, including data collection, management, analysis, and reporting to meet deadlines. They will collaborate with the district Assistant Program Manager, supervise data capturers, and contribute to data quality and use at various levels.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Establish strong working relationships with district and facility managers involved in Monitoring & Evaluation and information management.
  2. Develop district and M&E plans.
  3. Support improvement of Health Information Systems, M&E activities, and Data Quality through field visits and mentorship.
  4. Perform basic data analysis and interpretation for program support and reporting.
  5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
  6. Support implementation of TIER TB Module data.
  7. Document best practices, trends, and success stories.
  8. Participate in M&E meetings and workshops, reporting on activities.
  9. Conduct training and capacity building for data staff.
  10. Contribute to project performance reports.
Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Management, or related field.
  • Additional qualification in M&E is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, especially in public health.
  • Experience with Tier.Net and/or EDR-Web is a plus.
  • Proven skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and database management.
  • Strong computer and data analytical skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Valid SA driver’s license and willingness to travel.
