Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the bank's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user systems.
• Ensure high availability and performance of critical banking systems and applications.
• Manage IT support teams, including helpdesk, network, and systems administrators.
• Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance and security.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs).
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments to align IT operations with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards (e.g., POPIA, FICA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, or PMP are advantageous.
