We are looking for candidates based in Pretoria, Durban & Cape Town (Bellville).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning up the site/workshop after the task is completed or at the end of the day, whichever comes first, ensuring it's free of all consumables used (masking tapes, tins, etc.).
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Report any deviations, irregularities, and non-conformances orally.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the authorized site supervisor/laboratory manager and regional manager.
- Perform all field and laboratory work including sampling, calculations, and test methods accurately.
- Maintain discipline within the assigned department.
Compulsory Requirements
- Sampling and preparation experience (advantageous).
- Experience in fieldwork such as densities, layer/stockpile sampling, handling concrete cubes, DCP, Ring and Ball tests (road surfaces), sand patch, on-site viscosity tests, sampling of Asphalt, seals, concrete/aggregate.
- Ability to perform all related calculations.
- Control laboratory activities such as quality control under supervision.
- Physically fit and willing to work with, move, and pick up samples as required.
Qualifications
- NQF 4 / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Additional Information
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
- Age between 18-30.
- Currently unemployed.
- No criminal record.
- Willing to relocate to Pretoria, Durban & Cape Town (Bellville).
- Exceptional computer literacy (MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in data analysis.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
