Job description

We are looking for candidates based in Pretoria, Durban & Cape Town (Bellville).

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for cleaning up the site/workshop after the task is completed or at the end of the day, whichever comes first, ensuring it's free of all consumables used (masking tapes, tins, etc.).
2. Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
3. Report any deviations, irregularities, and non-conformances orally.
4. Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the authorized site supervisor/laboratory manager and regional manager.
5. Perform all field and laboratory work including sampling, calculations, and test methods accurately.
6. Maintain discipline within the assigned department.

Compulsory Requirements

1. Sampling and preparation experience (advantageous).
2. Experience in fieldwork such as densities, layer/stockpile sampling, handling concrete cubes, DCP, Ring and Ball tests (road surfaces), sand patch, on-site viscosity tests, sampling of Asphalt, seals, concrete/aggregate.
3. Ability to perform all related calculations.
4. Control laboratory activities such as quality control under supervision.
5. Physically fit and willing to work with, move, and pick up samples as required.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 / Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
• Age between 18-30.
• Currently unemployed.
• No criminal record.
• Willing to relocate to Pretoria, Durban & Cape Town (Bellville).
• Exceptional computer literacy (MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Interest in data analysis.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
