Brief Description

A well-established FMCG company in Cape Town is looking to appoint an experienced company secretary to assist the Group Company Secretary. This position offers the opportunity to guide the business in aligning strategic initiatives and to play a key role alongside senior management of subsidiary companies. The ideal candidate will utilize extensive legal experience and qualifications to plan, collate board packs, maintain databases, and draft resolutions.

Job Description:

  1. Coordinate all board meetings
  2. Prepare board packs
  3. Work closely with the Head of Legal
  4. Assist with subsidiary companies
  5. Ensure corporate governance
  6. Conduct director inductions
  7. Handle shareholder resolutions
  8. Liaise with JSE sponsors and transfer stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of JSA Regulations
  • Understanding of the Companies Act
  • Familiarity with King IV Code
  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience

Qualification: LLB Degree
