They focus on fast-tracked design and construction of minerals processing plants.

They specialise in delivering projects in developing countries and Tier-1 jurisdictions. Their cross-disciplinary team of geologists, mining engineers, and process engineers collaboratively focuses on assessing an orebody, maximising deposit value, all while prioritising risk minimisation.

Job description:

As part of this dynamic team, you will ensure that all financial recordkeeping duties are completed on time. These duties may include, but are not limited to, bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting up to trial balance for a dedicated area.

Qualifications and minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • At least 5 years' experience
  • Post-article accounting or financial management
  • Knowledge of local and international taxation
  • Understanding of international finances, including transfer pricing
  • Experience in project costing and cost control
Key Performance Areas:
  1. Accounts Payable: Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable function. Reconcile supplier accounts. Manage exceptions on accounts payable issues with suppliers. Ensure compliance with VAT Act.
  2. Accounts Receivable: Raise customer invoices. Send out customer statements. Reconcile customer payments. Follow up on outstanding payments and escalate where necessary.
  3. Month End Procedures: Contribute to the preparation of management reports. Monthly reconciliation of inventory, payroll, fixed assets, suppliers, customers, VAT, and taxes accounts.
  4. Expense Analysis: Analyze month-to-month variances. Analyze budget versus actuals. Work alongside the Cost Controller to support the project team.
  5. Compliance: Ensure all relevant compliance reporting and submissions are completed on time.
  6. Team Management: Develop and manage the finance team to meet objectives. Set targets and monitor performance. Oversee hiring, training, and HR matters. Provide coaching and mentoring for professional development.
  7. Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting as per business needs. Contribute to budgeting and forecast reporting.
  8. Ad hoc duties: Assist with stock taking, audit preparations, and other duties as required.
