Junior Account Manager

An established supplier of livestock feed and health and hygiene solutions is seeking a Junior Account Manager to assist in developing and implementing sales strategies and budgets for Sub-Saharan Africa, including technical and administrative tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Supporting the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies and budgets.
2. Conducting sales activities within assigned territories.
3. Providing technical support to customers through remote advisory services and on-farm assistance.
4. Performing administrative duties including transaction recording, travel coordination, and report preparation.
5. Collaborating across departments to ensure business objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must have a BSc in Agric Animal Science or similar field.
2. Must be SACNASP registered or in process thereof.
3. Previous exposure to the agricultural sector is essential and sales experience is advantageous.
4. Basic understanding of livestock production with emphasis on nutrition, health, and hygiene will be required.
5. Must have a high level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
6. Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
7. Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel (10% of time into Africa).
