Tax Administrator Cape Town (Northern Suburbs)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Administrator to join our client's team based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in Tax Administration and have a high attention to detail and deadline driven.

  • Matric certificate with Mathematics and Accounting
  • Minimum of5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel)
  • Relevant experience in tax administration will be advantageous
  • Proactive approach with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and quality-focused
Key Responsibilities:
  • Updating registered details on SARS e-filing
  • Updating banking details (RAV01) and submitting required documentation online
  • Managing updates to public officer details and processing name changes (RAV01)
  • Handling year-end changes in collaboration with the Secretarial Department
  • Responding to client emails, calls, and queries regarding tax matters
  • Issuing Provisional Tax letters and following up on payments due
  • Issuing Assessment letters and tracking payments/refunds
  • Scanning and uploading Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and Tax Computations via SARS e-filing/online query system
  • Submitting tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies (IT12, IT12TR, IT14)
  • Managing estate tax matters, including post-death registrations and IT12 submissions
  • Handling Foreign Tax Clearance applications
  • Processing Customs Registrations
  • Applying for Tax Exemptions
  • Booking SARS appointments on behalf of clients, preparing necessary documentation, and resolving SARS-related queries
  • Registering Trusts for Income Tax online
  • Handling deregistrations for Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE with SARS
  • Managing e-filing registrations for new clients and transferring profiles
