Job description

Maintenance Manager Electrical / Electronics

Top manufacturing (steel products) firm seeks a Maintenance Manager specializing in Electrical / Electronics. Lead a technically advanced electrical, electronics, and instrumentation maintenance division in a high-voltage wire manufacturing plant.

Non-Negotiables (We will check):

1. BEE: Strong preference for BEE candidates
2. 5 years HT / LT reticulation, heavy & light current systems, electrical maintenance, manufacturing plant experience
3. 3 years instrumentation, closed-loop control, sensors (pH, Temp, Conductivity), SCADA (RSView32)
4. 3 years high voltage switchgear, transformer protection, relay coordination, power distribution
5. Leadership experience with artisans, foremen, technicians; team performance and maintenance scheduling
6. Technically assertive; confident decision-maker; leads skilled teams with authority
7. Hands-on, accountable; applies theory with practical judgment under pressure

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot light current systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, instrumentation, UPS systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot heavy current infrastructure, including HT / LT switchgear, transformers, relays, motor protection
• Design and approve LT and HT reticulation layouts, voltage calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination
• Oversee instrumentation and process control systems, including sensors and safety circuits
• Lead maintenance teams during planned shutdowns, repairs, legal compliance, and ISO documentation

Key Deliverables:

• Ensure plant availability through predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance
• Design and approve compliant power distribution systems
• Lead and coordinate multi-skilled maintenance teams to deliver high performance and compliance

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Eng / BTech / NDip in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Experience in HT / LT systems, SCADA, electrical reticulation in manufacturing plants
• Setup and maintenance of SCADA systems, sensors, and calibration
• Experience with switchgear, transformers, fault analysis, relay coordination
• Managing shift teams, scheduling shutdowns, overseeing repairs, driving uptime

Advantages:
