We are looking for a Team Leader at our Wynberg branch in the Western Cape. Do you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

The successful candidate will assist in managing the branch to meet business objectives aligned with the Regional and Retail Operations strategy.

You Bring:

  • At least 6 months of experience in the Gaming or Betting industry.

A Bonus To Have:

  • Relevant Diploma, Degree, or NQF 4 Learnership.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 1-2 Years leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

Branch Growth
  • Achieve targets within your area according to branch budgets.
  • Drive results by engaging with guests and educating them on products.
  • Update betting boards promptly and manage daily updates of memos, results, and scratchings.
  • Be knowledgeable of game rules, odds, and payouts, and confirm limits with BSC before laying bets.
  • Take customer bets where applicable (Express Branches).
Cash Administration
  • Manage cash according to procedures, minimizing risks, theft, and fraud.
  • Educate team on FICA compliance.
  • Ensure daily banking and adherence to credit card and EFT policies.
  • Distribute floats correctly and perform interim checks.
  • Reconcile shifts and manage ticket claims according to process.
Branch Reporting
  • Provide daily operational overviews through newsflashes.
  • Manage stock control and conduct weekly stock takes, reporting shortages.
Security Management
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings, security protocols, and equipment functionality.
  • Manage security aspects during banking and daily operations.
Branch Appearance
  • Keep the branch tidy and facilities well-maintained.
  • Ensure procedures are followed to prevent losses and report issues promptly.
Compliance
  • Adhere to internal controls, legal, and legislative requirements, including Gambling Board regulations.
  • Ensure FICA compliance and display of posters.
  • Maintain proper dress code and prohibit personal bets by staff.
Communication
  • Distribute operational communication and updates.
  • Follow proper communication channels and provide timely feedback.
People Management
  • Manage staffing, attendance, and conduct recruitment documentation.
Guest Service
  • Provide friendly, helpful, and courteous service.
  • Address guest complaints proactively and foster strong relationships.
Values
  • Promote and live Hollywood values, leading by example.
Additional Responsibilities
  • If applicable, manage LPMs, F&B, RD facilities, and training facilities.
