Job Description

Key Competencies and Generic Skills:
Demonstrable closure experience is a must, as well as an entrenched knowledge of the mining sectors in South Africa and Africa, particularly within the field of rehabilitation and closure. Other competencies include:
Job Experiences:
15 years' experience in Mine Closure and environmental management aspects is a bonus. Experience in developing client relationships and contributing to business growth. Experience in the mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, and energy sectors will be an asset. Experience in South Africa and other countries in Africa will be an asset.
Qualifications:
BTech / BEng / BSc degree in mining / environmental management / engineering; or Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Quantity Surveying; or Landscape Architect (BScLArch, BL(Hons) or ML(Prof); or BSc(Hons) degree (preferably spatial / geographical sciences). Minimum fifteen years' relevant experience in compilation of mine rehabilitation and closure plans, conducting closure costs / asset retirement obligation assessments, with additional experience in related environmental management aspects a bonus.
Other Requirements:
Driver's licence is a prerequisite. Valid passport and willingness to travel abroad.
