We are looking for professionals committed to excellence and diversity. We are currently recruiting for 2 VQS Inspectors: Structural, Mechanical, Piping & Platework (SMPP); Electrical and Instrumentation (E, C & I).

Vendor Quality Surveillance (VQS) is a discipline within Procurement that provides qualified personnel, systems, processes, and tools to monitor and surveil vendors/suppliers implementing their quality management plans.

The QS Inspector role begins at the start of manufacture and continues through to the issuance of the final Inspection Release Certificate.

A QS Inspector must be qualified and competent, with:

  • Technical capability to interpret specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to apply these interpretations to vendor inspection and test plans for conformity.
  • Skills to monitor and surveil vendor/supplier quality plan implementation during manufacture.
  • Strong planning and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

As defined in the Quality Surveillance Assignment Letter (QSAL), responsibilities include:

  • Attending VQS assignment activities.
  • Participating in meetings with QS Coordinator, Package Engineer, Purchasing Agent, vendors/suppliers, and Client representatives.
  • Reviewing technical specifications, standards, codes, and statutory requirements to understand inspection and test acceptance criteria.
  • Utilizing the Supply Quality Management system and tools.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and completeness in reports.
  • Preparing, issuing, managing, and closing out MOMs, SIRs, OBRs, NCRs, IRCs, and data reports.
  • Responding promptly to vendor notifications for scheduled inspections.
  • Supporting technical issue resolution and non-conformance management.
  • Maintaining project quality documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Technical qualifications aligned with the goods and inspections involved.
  • Appropriate licenses for assessment and verification of vendor compliance.
  • High technical aptitude in manufacturing processes and material types.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of ISO, Six Sigma, or similar standards.
  • Experience dealing directly with vendors/suppliers and clients.
  • Openness to working on innovative projects.
