Role Purpose

To perform the day-to-day oversight of the administration and conduct of the collective investment scheme to ensure the safekeeping of the unit holders (investors), in compliance with the act, deed, and subordinate regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with project managers to proactively assess Fiduciary Risks within new business initiatives and products.
  2. Identify and utilize opportunities to assess and improve own performance.
  3. Optimize work through the application of learning experiences.
  4. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  5. Investigate new ways to optimize processes.
  6. Support the migration to platforms and the use of technology in process and system improvements.
  7. Develop solutions that lead to improved service delivery and quality.
  8. Ensure operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards.
  9. Analyze and document economic conditions affecting industry and segments.
  10. Stay up-to-date with market developments, new commercial products, and other factors affecting markets.
  11. Provide subject matter expertise on local legislation, financial instruments, and investment products.
  12. Identify potential metrics to measure Key Risk Indicators for Fiduciary Risk.
  13. Maintain accurate documentation on the system.
  14. Prepare basic trust documents in line with business objectives.
  15. Contribute to teamwork and inclusivity within the team.
  16. Deliver customer service adhering to quality standards.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Audit, Accounting, Risk, Mathematics, or Investment-related field.
  • Preferred: Honours Degree or Post Graduate Diploma, CFA / FRM, or studying towards these qualifications.
Experience & Skills
  • 3-5 years in a similar environment or asset management organization.
  • Prior CIS experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of regulations, compliance, financial analytics, and interpretation of financial data.
  • Knowledge of Collective Investment Scheme fund accounting, compliance, and risk management.
