Procurement Specialist

As the Procurement Specialist, you will report to the EMEA Procurement Manager.

Your role will be to support and drive the implementation of the Global Procurement Strategy by sourcing essential products and services for our operations.

You will identify cost-effective suppliers who deliver quality and service excellence, aligning with our core values. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual interested in shaping our Procurement strategy and contributing to our mission to 'Move Science Forward' by securing top-tier services and suppliers for Biocair, without compromising customer service.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Complete end-to-end sourcing processes for new supplier implementation in line with Biocair SOPs.
  2. Support new supplier requests, validate contracts, and coordinate information on existing suppliers.
  3. Collaborate with Supplier Approval, Quality, and Compliance Teams to ensure timely reviews and approvals under local and regional sourcing management.
  4. Manage the regional supplier database, ensuring accuracy and currency across all platforms.
  5. Develop detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
  6. Maintain high standards of compliance with processes and procedures, continually challenge the status quo, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key competencies:

  • Prior experience as a Procurement Specialist within an international organization is essential.
  • Experience in procuring both services and products is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Research-driven with robust analytical skills.
  • Financial planning awareness with the ability to identify and deliver cost savings across multiple units.
  • CIPS qualification is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in logistics and/or life sciences is highly desirable.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:30, onsite at our office in Kempton Park.
