As a Client Project Coordinator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of client projects. You will ensure each project is completed according to expectations and within the agreed budget. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing ad hoc reporting on projects, including tracking all time spent by individuals
  2. Scheduling, planning, and administration across multiple projects to reduce overlap and improve communication between departments

Requirements

  • Providing administrative, document, and process support to project managers
  • Performing administrative tasks in planning, execution, monitoring and control, and project closure
  • Managing and executing coordination tasks, following up on responsibilities that affect project dependencies and progress
  • Assisting with financial reporting for Steering Committee meetings and project reports, ensuring data accuracy
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Preparing project documentation and RAID logs
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Web Technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Supporting the project team with various tasks
  • Demonstrating innovative methods to foster team cooperation
  • Willingness to learn continuously, with potential to move into project management

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • IT certification recommended, preferably including Project Management
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Project Administrator
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT or systems-related work
  • Good soft skills: conflict resolution, communication, professionalism
  • Knowledge of Project Methodology
  • Understanding of the role of the PMO
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Visio, Project
  • Knowledge of IT development
