CBRE Data Centre Overview
CBRE manages the maintenance of Data Centres and is committed to the provision of an
efficient and effective critical engineering maintenance service. The primary function is to ensure
100% uptime of engineering services to ensure there is zero impact to the client’s business
operations.
Role Overview
Performs a variety of repairs, installation, and/or modification services or machine servicing
unsupervised and report back to Supervisor on completion.
Key objectives of the role (Not exhaustive or necessarily in order of importance):
- Ensure all maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in
- conjunction with the maintenance team are completed and with accurate updates and documentary feedback.
- Ensure Service reports are provided following all supplier visits to site without exceptions.
- Ensure the continuous operation of the installed system.
- Ensure all repair and minor works associated with the installed services to CBRE scope are performed as required under best practice.
- Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems and equipment.
- Ensure and inspect teams to ensure they performing personal risk assessments of maintenance and repair activities.
- Responsible for the stock level on shift, review stock levels, spares requirement following reactive tasks and through audit and reports all orders immediately to Site Operations Manager to obtain approvals and place any orders.
- Ensure all self delivery work and contractor activities are carried out in accordance to CBRE site Health & Safety procedures.
- Responsible to ensure all self performed work and contractors are carried out in accordance to Data Centre and CBRE site Health & Safety procedures
- All permits are signed on and out as per GMR 2.7.
- Responsible for the Supplier GRN process.
- Accountable for the state of the plantrooms to best practice
- Act to maintain asset availability and service reliability in the event of an incident under process.
The successful candidate will have the following background
- Relevant Technical Qualifications
- Supervisory Training Certificates
- Recognised Apprenticeship
- Previous experience working in a similar building environment/business.
- MV switching qualification/experience.
- Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems.
- Prefer experience of safety documentation within the Data Centre.
Role requirements
The Data Centre sites operate on a 24/7 basis; as such incumbents may be required to respond operational requirements in line with functional responsibilities. Furthermore, due to the nature of the position and operational requirements of the company incumbents will be required to working according to a Shift Roster, details of which will be communicated by the Management Team.
