Role: Data Scientist / Algorithm Developer

Location: Cape Town (Hybrid - 3 Days in office per week)

Remuneration Range: Rk – Rk per annum

Required skills / experience:

• BEng / BSc or higher, in Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
• Clear understanding of basic signal processing concepts, such as filtering, Nyquist frequencies, and time-frequency transformations
• Appreciation of algorithm performance evaluation techniques, e.g., receiver-operating-curves
• Experience with machine learning algorithms such as regressions, decision trees, SVMs, and Neural Networks
• Proficiency in using mathematical software for data extraction and simulation (Python, MATLAB, Octave, R)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and evaluate the performance of signal processing algorithms to provide valuable insights
• Develop and maintain documentation of the data science architecture and algorithms within the team
• Develop algorithms independently under guidance of senior team members
• Define and collect sensor data with performance references for algorithm development
• Develop machine learning algorithms for predictive insights into team strategy
