Strategic Maintenance Manager Position - West Rand - Tarlton
The Strategic Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and managing budgets, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Workshop whilst playing a key role in developing and implementing long-term strategies.
This role will also be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Workshop.
Translating strategy into operations.
Drafting and implementing performance standards for the whole Workshop department.
Creating processes for the smooth and efficient running of the Workshop department.
Aligning departmental goals, processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.
Assessing supply chain vulnerabilities and making recommendations for improvement.
Conducting analyses of operations data and making recommendations for improvement based on findings.
Creating and implementing operational plans for an organization's activities, including making decisions about locations, budgets, staffing levels, and timelines.
Develop and manage budgets for operational activity.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Implement new technologies and systems to streamline operations.
Manage and motivate a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monitor KPIs and develop metrics to assess performance and identify areas of improvement.
Participating in strategic planning sessions with other members of management to discuss long-range goals and objectives.
Prepare reports and presentations on operational activity for executive management.
Research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets); SQL knowledge is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a fast-paced, team environment.
5+ years of experience using data analytics to solve complex business problems.
Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Project Management, Development Studies or in related field or equivalent experience.
