Sales Manager South Africa - Clinical

Essity is a leading global hygiene and health company which develops, produces and sells Health & Medical, Consumer Tissue and Professional Hygiene products and solutions and has a strong global presence.
We are looking for a Clinical Sales Manager, RSA based in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Pinetown in South Africa. We are looking for someone with clinical knowledge, who is customer focused with excellent planning, coaching, negotiation and execution skills. The Sales Manager RSA - Clinical will be responsible to leading, directing and developing the respective sales organization structure, team and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness. This incumbent will be responsible for ensuring clinical selling competencies within the team to articulate clear therapeutic solution for customers (Healthcare Practitioners).

About the Role What You Will Do

• Coaching team members on clinical sales techniques, procedures and standards;
• Leading key conferences, workshops and round table meetings with sales organizations to improve education around the therapeutic areas;
• Manage key relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to deliver the desired success;
• Key point of contact for Essity’s clinical education and blended learning styles and selecting the most appropriate offering to meet the needs of the customer;
• Support clinical sales team during and after their sales process by providing educational programs to clinicians, nurses, and doctors in line with account plans and customer agreements;
• Conduct engaging clinical presentations, trainings, and educational (blended mediums);
• Drive Essity’s educational portfolio, generate demand, and identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling;
• Be present in the field to build connections, network, and uncover new insights and opportunities;
• Excellent product portfolio knowledge and patient outcomes. Co-create solutions with customers understand the impact products have on patients and focus on finding the right product for the right patient;
• Assist customers with queries and technical assistance about the use of the products;
• Translating local GTM sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage the day-to-day activities of a clinical sales team;
• Preparing sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem/opportunities areas and adapt procedures;
• Strategically developing, implementing, and evaluating sales plans to deliver profitable growth with customer and brand focus;
• Allocating resources according to up-to-date customer categorization to improve the overall performance of the sales team;
• Negotiating sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization;
• Contributing to the development of sales, marketing and customer retention. Responsible for customer profitability;
• Generating knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders;
• Contributing to overall decision making as part of the Leadership Management Team.

Who You Are

• Must have matric and commercial tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Science Administration or similar;
• Strong understanding of Woundcare (excellent knowledge in therapy areas as well as understanding of how our products ideally fit in the desired treatment process);
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Sales management role, preferably within a Healthcare industry ideally Medical device /Pharmaceutical industry;
• Must be fluent in English;
• Must have a valid RSA Driver’s License and prepared for extensive travel nationally;
• Proficient use and knowledge of Microsoft Office package and clear understanding of reading data (market – IQVIA and internal).
