Salary - R50,000.00 - R80,000.00 CTC (Based on experience, skill, and current salary)

Job Summary

We seek a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager who combines a hunter's drive for new opportunities with a strategic marketer's eye for brand, messaging, and campaigns. The role suits someone thriving in a fast-paced environment, skilled at building relationships, and capable of crafting compelling go-to-market strategies that convert.

Responsibilities

  1. Business Development
  2. Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  4. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  5. Create and deliver high-impact presentations and proposals.
  6. Track and report on pipeline development, forecasts, and KPIs.

Marketing & Growth

  1. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
  2. Use data and insights to guide audience targeting, messaging, and content strategy.
  3. Support the development of marketing materials, case studies, and digital assets.
  4. Leverage digital tools (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms, social media) to nurture leads and drive engagement.
  5. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.

Leadership

  1. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and reports for senior management.
  2. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing teams to achieve targets.
  3. Drive residential sales targets for both water and solar solutions.
  4. Maintain regular meetings with direct reports.

Work Environment

  1. Fast-paced and innovative, requiring adaptation to the evolving renewable energy landscape.
  2. Hybrid flexibility with remote work available on Wednesdays (subject to managerial approval).
  3. Collaborative culture, working closely with technical, operations, customer service, and executive teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. 3-6 years in business development, sales, or a hybrid commercial/marketing role.
  2. Proven success in acquiring new business and exceeding targets.
  3. Strong understanding of modern marketing strategies (content, digital, brand, inbound/outbound).
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  5. Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation tools.
  6. Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and leadership teams.
  7. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
