Total CTC (Cost to Company) : Approximately R25,000.00 – R28,000.00 per month
Main Purpose
- Responsible for randomly inspecting incoming goods, work in progress, and finished goods to ensure they meet Engineering and Production standards.
- Responsible for monitoring and analyzing process and management KPIs, coordinating activities that aim at continuous improvement of quality indicators through use of statistical, preventive and problem-solving tools.
- Provide support for the analysis of non-conformities found in products and processes, investigation of causes, and implementation of possible solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect production / stores in inspections on raw materials, parts, finished goods, components of products in development, prototypes, samples and pilot lots, recording quality occurrences.
- Inspect company procedures / processes / instructions to verify conformance and record deviations.
- Interpret drawings and standards to verify operation conformance.
- Inspect parts or products according to pre-established standards and procedures using appropriate instruments.
- Interpret specifications such as standards, product drawings, electromechanical specs, catalogues for inspections.
- Compare inspection results with specification values, accept or reject accordingly.
- Prepare inspection reports related to part and product quality.
- Liaise with support areas like Sales, Product Engineering, PCP, and Purchasing for product / material info.
- Audit critical plant processes periodically, indicating faults and solutions.
- Organize and maintain section quality records.
- Monitor quality KPIs monthly and act on poor results.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 Quality System.
- Support quality improvement projects and corrective action planning.
- Assist in quality diagnostics and analysis of customer complaints to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update inspection plans; evaluate rejections and possible recoveries.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by superiors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric.
- Diploma or working towards a diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or other relevant Quality qualification.
- Diligent with excellent analytical skills and root cause analysis experience.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Computer literate with strong Excel, Outlook, and Word skills.
- Strong personality to enforce quality standards.
- Previous experience with ISO 9000 and 9001 is advantageous.

Working Conditions
- Mostly factory-based with occasional out-of-office errands.
- May be required to work beyond normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Expected to attend ongoing professional education and training programs.
