What the person must be able to do :

This role is in the South African metal manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

• Organize quality production on Forging lines
• Plan for tooling & material to optimize production
• Implement & maintain high safety standards
• Responsible for proper & safe machine setting
• Monitoring of discipline, time keeping and attendance
• Assist foreman with daily and monthly planning and production reports
• Quality production
• Scrap below 1%
• Achieve planned delivery dates within 95%
• Improve productivity by 20%

Background work experience

• Must be able to read technical drawings
• Min 5 year experience in a forging production environment
• Preference hot or cold metal pressing experience
• Technical schooling background
• N6 or S4 in Mechanical Engineering or equiv
• Proven track record in manufacturing and forgining (we will check references)
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player

Salary : Market Related. In the Range of R14K to R22K per month. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
