NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES: GUARDING DIVISION

The New Business Development department seeks to employ a New Business Development Representative within the Nelspruit area.

The overall purpose of this position is to seek new business through networks, forge and sustain good relations with clients, and maintain and grow an existing client base by offering a complete end-to-end integrated risk mitigation solution.

The incumbent’s role would be to design, cost, propose, and present complex integrated security solutions to both existing and new clients, representing the full spectrum of the Commercial offering as well as the Group’s offerings.

Minimum Requirements
  • Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous sales experience with a proven track record.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales in a similar position.
  • PSIRA grading is an advantage.
  • 2-4 years sales experience in security, preferably.
  • Fully bilingual; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours if required.
  • Previous experience in the security industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Clear criminal record and no pending cases.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Reside in or near Mbombela (Nelspruit) or surrounding areas.
Essential Duties & Key Performance Responsibilities
  • Accountability for client growth and increasing turnover through existing and new clients.
  • Achieving sales targets and securing profitable new business.
  • Attending to potential clients across responsibilities.
  • Promptly addressing client queries.
  • Conducting site surveys for security requirements.
  • Designing and costing security solutions.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals.
  • Submitting quotations timely.
  • Building and maintaining professional client relationships.
  • Planning, budgeting, and coordinating client requirements.
  • Assisting with marketing efforts.
  • Submitting weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Gaining thorough knowledge of trade and competitors.
  • Ensuring contracts and quotations are complete with necessary documentation.
  • Timely submission of paperwork to source non-standard stock items.
  • Selling only approved equipment per company policies.
  • Developing sales opportunities through cold calling and other means.
