Job summary

Requirements:
  • An appropriate recognized three-year National Diploma/ Degree (NQF 6/7) in Human Resource Management/ Human Resource Development or Personnel Management or Public Management majoring in HR plus 3 years’ experience in the HRP working environment at a supervisory level and/or at a post equivalent to salary level 8/7.
  • Knowledge of Education Acts, Public Service Act and Regulations, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, applicable resolutions, and policy frameworks.
  • Understanding of transformation and capacity building processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Persal, PFMA, and computer literacy.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, report writing, leadership qualities, listening skills, conflict management, negotiation skills, time management, basic financial skills, project management, interpersonal relations, problem solving, presentation skills, self-discipline, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Licensed driver with people management, policy development, research, facilitation skills, and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
Duties:
  • Implement post provisioning for schools and verify post establishments.
  • Support issuing of post establishments, monitor utilization, and manage placement of personnel.
  • Participate in HR requirements analysis, policy development, recruitment strategies, and vacancy management.
  • Oversee personnel administration on PERSAL, safekeeping of documentation, and report compilation.
  • Supervise staff and coordinate organizational development processes, including structure realignment.
  • Evaluate HR strategies and ensure administrative support services are provided.
