A leading food manufacturer in Johannesburg is seeking a qualified Millwright with at least 5 years of FMCG experience. The ideal candidate will manage a team, ensure machinery availability, and maintain high safety standards. This hands-on role involves fault-finding, coaching, and adherence to food safety requirements, making it critical for the plant's 24-hour operations.
A big food Manufacturer situated in City Deep, Johannesburg is seeking a qualified Millwright who has at least 5 years experience in a food manufacturing / FMCG experience in the electrical / mechanical field .
The ideal artisan will have a sense of urgency on the job with good understanding of multiple machines and workings hydraulics, pneumatics, AC drives, sensors and plc control.
The candidate must be able to relate to electrical schematics to help him in the fault-finding task when needed .
The plant works with compressed air, boiler, refrigeration, water and normal electrical distribution to the plant, the understanding of all and master it will be an advantage.
This makes up the candidate that we need to be an artisan.
The senior artisan (Millwright) will be hands-on and manage a small group of artisans in this environment, handling job cards and delegate work on the basses of priority breakdowns on daily and weekly scheduling planned maintenance. ( Small Groupe- Fitter and apprentice , with refrigeration person backup .)
The senior artisan will be coaching the team on all the subject matter that makes him the senior / master in following up on work done.
This go without say, that all the actions revolve around a plant that is producing product on a 24 hour priority.
