Job description

ParcelHero is one of the UK's biggest parcel delivery price comparison sites. With over 5 million visitors a year and more than 100 remote employees worldwide, we're a technology-driven company delivering innovative solutions to ensure exceptional customer care. As a forward-thinking and dynamic business, we offer excellent career growth opportunities.

In 2025, we will be launching our new Transport Management Solution (TMS), ParcelHero Pro, which enables retailers to pay a monthly subscription to centralise all orders and ship on their own carrier accounts using our cutting-edge shipping platform.

At ParcelHero, we foster a collaborative and innovative culture where every team member's voice matters. We're a fast-paced, remote-first company that values initiative, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership. If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic, ambitious, and forward-thinking team, you'll fit right in with us.

We are seeking a legal representative to attend court cases on our behalf. We are a parcel delivery price comparison site, reselling for major couriers and offering delivery to both consumers and businesses. Your role will involve defending cases where we refuse a loss or damage claim outside our terms, and initiating claims against debtors who have failed to pay shipping charges.

This role is ideal for a law student eager to gain legal experience or a lawyer with capacity for ad-hoc work.

You should know how to present and defend a case, with some knowledge of consumer rights versus business rights.

The role involves some driving, approximately 1-2 hours each way, limited to cases in your area, with roughly one case per month.

Since this role involves attending court cases in England, you must be based in England.

All paperwork and court documentation will be handled by us; you will be briefed before each case and only need to represent us in court.

Please note that, given the average claim size of approximately £1,500, the cost of defending cases is a key consideration for us.

If you believe you are a good fit, we'd love to hear from you.
