Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Duration: Renewable contract of 6 months.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Software Asset Management Specialist with proven expertise in Flexera to join our IT governance team. The ideal candidate will manage the full software asset lifecycle, ensure license compliance, and drive cost optimization across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full software asset lifecycle (procurement to retirement).
• Ensure license compliance and support audit readiness.
• Optimize software usage to reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate records using tools like Flexera, ServiceNow, or similar.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, and finance teams.
• Prepare reports on compliance and software utilization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
• Hands-on experience with Flexera tools (Flexera One, FlexNet Manager Suite).
• Strong understanding of software licensing, compliance, and vendor audit processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 19770, or other ITAM standards.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Certifications such as CSAM, ITIL, or Flexera Admin/Practitioner are a plus.
