Overview:

Our client, a well-established leader in the South African retail and services space, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead their Agile transformation and drive delivery excellence across dynamic cross-functional teams. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong grasp of Agile methodologies, and are ready to make a significant impact, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a Scrum Master role
  • Familiarity with software development environments and a project management background
  • Successful implementation of Agile practices for teams and experience conducting PI planning workshops
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban)
  • Scrum Master certification is mandatory
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
Description:
  • Assist software development teams in applying the Scrum framework effectively
  • Facilitate team organization and progress tracking through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Plan deliverables and monitor team performance
  • Resolve issues, conflicts, and remove obstacles hindering team progress
  • Collaborate with product owners to manage backlogs and handle new requests
  • Support teams in implementing changes efficiently
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Guide teams toward higher Scrum maturity levels
  • Host daily meetings to update on project progress and address potential roadblocks
  • Conduct regular stakeholder sessions to communicate project status
  • Ensure deadlines are met with the desired outcomes
  • Provide timely reports to stakeholders and keep all parties informed
  • Capable of managing three or more teams simultaneously
