Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join a fast-growing manufacturing company and supplier to the FMCG market, to be based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform cost analysis and reporting for manufacturing operations.
2. Develop and maintain cost standards for raw materials, labour, and overhead.
3. Monitor and analyze inventory variances, wastage, and production inefficiencies.
4. Collaborate with the production and finance teams to develop and implement cost control measures.
5. Assist in preparing monthly management reports, including variance analysis and financial forecasts.
6. Support the budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

1. Professional Accountant (SA) or AGA (SA).
2. At least 3 years of completed SAIPA/SAICA articles.
3. Strong cost and management accounting interest.
4. Experience in cost accounting is highly beneficial.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Salary

1. R30 000 - R45 000 CTC per month, highly dependent on experience and qualifications.
