We are looking for a:

Group Account Director

We are looking for an experienced Group Account Director with a strong digital background to nurture and develop some of the most loved and established national and international brands.

Role Overview

  • Under the supervision of the Managing partner and Business Director, you will lead both your own clients’ projects ensuring a constructive and creative operating environment.
  • Ultimately responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the account - operationally, creatively, financially and strategically – and are answerable on these points to the clients, Managing partner and Business Director.
  • Responsible for maximising the account’s billings and/or income and for seeking out additional income opportunities.
  • Contributes to the good financial management of the business, improving profitability wherever possible,
  • Regularly seek out ways to add value to the client/agency relationship (e.g. finding solutions to business problems through research and brand knowledge, understanding Experience credentials and the ability to upsell work).
  • You build strong and enduring relationships with clients. You also have a deep understanding of the clients’ business and of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and categories. Leveraging these insights and knowledge to grow our assignments and revenue, while regularly seeking out ways to add value to the client/agency relationship.
  • Have a deep understanding of the financial forecast/overview of your clients. As the senior point of contact for the agency’s customers, you also co-ordinate the resources needed to service projects, build strategic operational plans and balance the expectations of clients with the execution of strategy, creative, website design and development, SEO and data & analytics.
  • Strong grasp on financial admin, ensuring accuracy on revenue forecasting and recognition, recons, invoicing. Constantly tracking scopes, SLA’s and quotes, with the right stakeholder approvals to be done on deadline.
  • Effectively manages and coaches the more junior members of the Account Management team (AM’s, AE’s,) sensitively, positively, and pro-actively.
  • Delegate effectively and appropriately – upwards to the agency management as well as downwards to your reports and other departments.
  • Build the respect, loyal commitment, and performance of your team members.

  • Self-motivated with a high energy level, and an enthusiastic team-player.
  • Flexible and open to work in an agile and fast paced environment.
  • Strategically inclined to make key decisions within the digital context.
  • Self-reliant and accountable – you should be able to take strategic control of all accounts within your portfolio.
  • Understanding of SEO, website design & development, Cramond data and analytics advantageous.
  • Skilful project management.

Skills and Requirements
