Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Drive system design activities related to train subsystems such as traction drive and auxiliaries.
2. Design the architecture, functional, and technical specifications concerning train performance and customer requirements.
3. Coordinate design activities with internal teams and external suppliers.
4. Manage design activities across all engineering domains (e.g., mechanic, control, command validation) and transversal expertise such as operating safety and EMC.
5. Participate in follow-up of achievement and qualification processes.
6. Specify tests and contribute to validation and certification of the Power Pack using simulation tools, test benches, or trains.
7. Contribute to issue resolution.
8. Engage in research and development activities aimed at reducing energy consumption and exploring new power modes (fuel cells, energy storage, etc.).

Profile

• Technical generalist engineer with experience in rolling stock.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in system design related to rolling stock is preferred.
• Technical skills: electrotechnics, electronics, automation, pneumatics, considering RAMS aspects.
• Knowledge of operating safety.
• Behavioral competencies: Team spirit, good communication skills (written and oral), rigor, flexibility, commitment, and sensitivity to quality, timely delivery, and cost management.
• Qualifications: BSc. Engineering or BEng degree in relevant fields.
