Job description

Job Purpose

The Sales & Marketing Manager for the unit will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the sales and marketing team, aiming to achieve sales targets across international and local markets and distribution channels. This will involve planning, managing, and delivering brand awareness, customer acquisition, growth, reactivation, and retention strategies and campaigns to maximize revenue potential.

As the custodian of the hotel brand, the role will oversee all content deliverables, ensuring the brand is relevantly showcased across all customer and stakeholder platforms. Additionally, the Sales and Marketing Manager will handle Public Relations to positively position and promote the hotel's image and manage its brand reputation in the public domain.

The role also focuses on building a talented marketing team to support innovative hospitality marketing solutions in the future.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Develop innovative strategic marketing plans to support hotel revenue and growth strategies.
  2. Provide market and sales forecasts, analyzing market data to inform strategies.
  3. Influence product development by evaluating current and future market trends.
  4. Adapt strategies, including pricing, to meet changing business priorities.
  5. Enhance the hotel’s brand recognition and interest through various channels.
  6. Manage the hotel’s reputation via effective messaging, social media, and media relations.
  7. Drive customer acquisition and retention campaigns across multiple distribution channels.
  8. Ensure data quality for targeted campaigns and research.
  9. Oversee PR functions, media relations, and reputation management, including crisis communication policies.
  10. Organize and manage PR and brand-building events, maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
  11. Develop and execute marketing campaigns, measuring their effectiveness to support business objectives.
  12. Support VIP and key customer relationships to increase visitation and retention.
  13. Lead team management efforts, developing and coaching marketing talent.
  14. Build and manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and sponsors.
  15. Manage financial aspects of the marketing function, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  16. Align sales and marketing standards with legislative compliance, conducting regular audits.
  17. Implement control measures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory standards are met.
