Crimson Education is a Series C, global EdTech startup founded with the idea that through personalised education and technology, we can transform students into the world leaders of tomorrow.

We're now in 28 markets and have an ambitious team that's rapidly expanding across the globe.

Our tech platform connects tutors/mentors to students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities or their dream career pathway. This role is a sales position focused on the South African and other African regions where Crimson operates, including calling leads to qualify them for the sales process.

You will work closely with the local Marketing and Sales teams on all sales-related activities, as well as understanding and growing relationships with priority schools and partners across South Africa and Africa to strengthen Crimson's market position. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport easily, be customer-obsessed, and have a growth mindset. This is an entry-level, full-time position based in Johannesburg, SA.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, with potential outside hours for events, office activities, and busy periods as needed.

In-office attendance is required to monitor office landline calls and walk-ins.

Role Requirements
  1. This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg; not suitable for those wanting to relocate.
  2. Start date: 15 May or closest.
  3. Sales experience, strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of the SA schools landscape are essential.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Receiving and making calls, responding to enquiries to qualify leads, and accurately managing data within Salesforce CRM.
  2. Updating lead records and tracking their progress in the sales pipeline.
  3. Developing nurture campaigns and communication methods to engage leads.
  4. Planning and executing local events to increase brand awareness.
  5. Establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  6. Improving sales techniques and industry knowledge.
  7. Engaging in outreach activities like school talks, career expos, and seminars.
  8. Attending industry events as required.
  9. Preparing accurate sales reports for management.
  10. Responding to social media comments and enquiries.
Skills and Experience Required
  1. Strong educational background, preferably from top SA universities.
  2. Experience in Sales, Education Sales, Customer Service, or Customer Success.
  3. Understanding of the school landscape is preferred.
  4. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational skills and IT proficiency, including CRM (Salesforce).
  6. Self-driven, motivated, creative, energetic, professional, confident, and eager to learn.
