REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- N4 or equivalent trade/artisan qualification
- Trade Test, either Mechanical or Electrical
- 5 years’ experience in an automated factory environment
- Able to operate high-tech machinery
- Thorough knowledge of the process
- Understanding of QMS systems

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting, operating, and maintaining machinery, including:
- Automatic plate enveloping machines
- COS machines (including mould changes and start-up)
- Short testing machines
- TTP welding machines (including head changes)
- Heat sealing machines (including mould changes and start-up)
- Leak testing machines (including tool changes and start-up)
- Date coding machines (setting coding info and start-up)
- Post-burning equipment
- Ensure equipment produces quality products at nominal production rates and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of all assembly line equipment and extraction systems.
- Ensure cooling water systems are operational.
- Administration and recordkeeping:
- Complete job cards before maintenance, with necessary permits approved.
- Maintain production logs, attribute charts, and SPC data as per instructions.
- Communication:
- Maintain written and oral communication with suppliers, customers, management, and peers.
- Quality:
- Perform duties professionally, ensuring first-time right and customer requirements.
- Stop processes if quality standards are not met, determine cause, correct, and monitor.
- Auxiliary activities:
- Assist others to improve profitability.
- Participate in safety audits and carry them out when required.
- Assist production teams in other departments as needed.
- Comply with quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
