Job description

Job Summary: Serving as the primary point-of-contact for all automotive service and repair matters, the Service Advisor's core responsibility is to listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for appropriate service levels, and set/manage expectations with customers and technicians regarding service delivery.

The ideal Service Advisor has an unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, strong mechanical aptitude, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post-secondary automotive training, and certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (or willingness to obtain it). A strong technical and customer service record is essential.

Experience with CDJR or domestic vehicles is required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet customers in person or by phone
  • Arrange prompt diagnosis of reported problems
  • Recommend best-value repairs based on the issue
  • Manage repair delivery by setting and managing customer expectations
  • Maintain documentation (PO, invoices, work orders, reports)
  • Enforce safety standards
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Promote a 'white-glove' environment
  • Own and be accountable for service quality
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
