Educational Psychologist

We require the services of a dynamic candidate to join our High School Faculty with effect from 1 January 2026, negotiable.

Requirements:

• Suitable professional qualifications and appropriate educational experience.
• Professional registration as a psychologist with the HPCSA, which is current and compliant in CPD requirements.
• Previous experience in academic support would be advantageous.
• Provision of counselling services and interventions to adolescents, parents, staff and others where applicable.
• Experience in Psycho-educational assessments, career/subject choice assessments and emotional assessments.
• Experience in the IEB accommodation application process is advantageous.
• Development and delivery of individual, group and school-wide interventions to promote well-being and in particular psycho-social wellbeing.
• Ongoing case management, referral and development of relevant professional networks and resources.
• Compliance with the relevant legislative framework and ethical conduct in line with HPCSA and other relevant regulations; the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries in all matters related to the role.
• Experience in providing workshops to adolescents/staff and parents is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational, administrative, interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
• Willingness to work in a Catholic school environment.
• Proof of registration with SACE (if applicable).
• Clearance certificate with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register.
