One of the biggest Content and Organic Performance marketing agencies is hiring for an Editor!

Sphere have recently partnered with a global, award-winning, performance-driven content leader and brand publishing agency. Their purpose is to help brands create meaningful connections that impact people's lives through performance-driven content for search and social. Our unique expertise in Omnichannel Search & Insights, Creative Content and Performance Tech are delivered to our clients via an ad agency and in-house model.

They are looking to hire a talented and ambitious Editor who will play a vital role in leading the content ideation, managing the tone of voice and finessing article copy for an international diamond and jewellery brand.

The role is based in South Africa (multiple cities possible), and is a fully-remote role. Fluent/Native English is a MUST.

Responsibilities:

• Edit articles, blog posts, captions and possibly social content for consistency, accuracy and tone of voice
• Apply your knowledge of engaging, luxury lifestyle storytelling to elevate all editorial output
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to writers and content creators, and mentor junior writers to support their development in luxury editorial writing
• Uphold accessibility and inclusive language principles in all copy
• Contribute ideas for content franchises, article formats and diamond-focused editorial themes, and provide inspiration and creative stimulus for the wider team
• Optimise written content for SEO using keyword guidance and best practice
• Track content workflows and manage documentation for finalised copy
• Monitor diamond, fashion and jewellery industry trends and integrate them into brand content strategy

Essential experience:

• 5+ years of experience in digital content editing role
• Deep knowledge of and passion for luxury lifestyle editorial
• Exceptional grammar, punctuation and stylistic precision
• Comfortable with multi-format, consumer-facing digital content
• Strong knowledge of SEO and how to apply it to editorial
• Familiar with accessibility standards and inclusive language
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and editorial workflows
• Collaborative, detail-focused, and proactive
