Job description

To provide a language risk management service to Nedbank Group, its alliances and associates in line with Nedbank business strategy.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide an editorial and language consultancy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Edit, information-map, rewrite, and proof banking, financial and insurance documents to comply with the Nedbank Group Style Guide requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage deadlines to meet the business requirements of Nedbank Group and its alliances and associates.
  • Participate in business meetings with the relevant structures, e.g. committees and associations, to contribute to stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage communication non-compliance to mitigate risk.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with the team and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and obtain buy-in for new and/or enhanced processes and systems that will improve the functioning of the business.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self, through input and feedback from management.
  • Ensure best practice by conducting continuous research.
  • Network and liaise with internal and external clients to build and sustain stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure trusting relationships with team through regular communication and engagement.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformational goals by participating in the Nedbank Culture building initiatives e.g. staff surveys, and by living the Nedbank values.
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate, adding value to Nedbank Group.

Formal Qualification
