Job description

Our client, a well-established and reputable packaging and industrial print company, seeks to employ an experienced, target-driven, and well-presented Sales Executive. The ideal candidate will have gained 5+ years’ experience in cold calling, business development, and sales of printing solutions, industrial labelling, and/or industrial barcoding application equipment.

Please note that this role requires extensive travel across the region to canvass prospective clients, attend trade shows, expos, and industry events.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
  1. Educational and Experience Background: You must have Matric, coupled with a proven background in Technical Sales, managing the full sales process — from identifying new clients and developing business relationships to concluding sales, prospecting, cold calling, following up on leads, and building profitable relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  2. Technical Knowledge: You should have a sound understanding of print, barcoding and labeling machinery, networking systems, and print inks/applications.
  3. Administrative Skills: Ability to analyze costing requirements, calculate costings and estimations, and draft quotes.
  4. Communication Skills: Fluency in English and Afrikaans, with effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft and present to executives and decision-makers at prospective clients.
  5. Travel and Legal Requirements: Willingness to travel nationally when required, with a valid, unendorsed driver’s license, a clear credit and criminal record, and contactable references (verification will be conducted).
