The role requires an individual that understands the integration of various activities within a multi discipline
environment, apply logic, forecast and troubleshooting skills to assist the project team to successfully complete a
project.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Must have +5 years’ experience planning various disciplines [Infrastructure projects, Wind farms, PV Farms, Township Development and Telecommunication]
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the planning and execution of Wind and PV farms.
- Advanced MS Project skills.
- Experience with P6 & CCS would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of various standard contracts (GCC, FIDIC etc) would be an advantage.
- Assist Contracts mangers with claims and Extension of time demonstrations.
- Strong administrative skills to ensure that Company systems and processes are implemented.
- Lead and facilitate teamwork to ensure qualitative, efficient & profitable Project deadlines.
- The ability to perform work under pressure.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A valid Driver''s Licence and own reliable transport.
- South African citizen.
Responsibilities | Skills
- This position will be on site for at least 24 months and will be required to attend special planning meetings at our Head office in Bloemfontein.
- Outline tasks, dependencies, durations, and milestones.
- Utilize project management software and tools to input and manage schedule data.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders :
- Engage with project managers, team members, and other stakeholders to gather information necessary for schedule development.
- Facilitate discussions to ensure accurate representation of project activities and timelines.
- Analysing and Adjusting Schedules :
- Continuously monitor project progress and update schedules as needed.
- Analyse critical paths and identify potential risks or delays.
- Resource Allocation :
- Work with resource managers to allocate personnel, equipment, and materials according to project needs.
- Ensure resources are optimally utilized to meet project deadlines.
- Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop contingency plans for potential delays.
- Communication :
- Clearly communicate schedule information to project stakeholders.
- Provide weekly updates on schedule status, highlighting any deviations from the original plan.
- Quality Assurance :
- Ensure that the project schedule aligns with the project scope and objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the schedule.
- Training and Support :
- Provide training and support to project team members on schedule-related processes and tools.
- Address any questions or concerns related to the project schedule.
- Liaise with site Quantity Surveyors for monthly costs in line with progress.
- Follow company procedures for programmes revisions, submissions & approval processes
