Job description

Job Purpose
Maintain Mechanical, Electrical, and basic structural equipment to ensure the plant operates at maximum capacity safely at the High Chrome Ball Plant.

Key Work Outputs And Accountabilities
Production And Maintenance
• Be aware of all plant production and maintenance requirements and participate in resolving related problems.
• Conduct daily/shift maintenance to maximize plant availability, covering:
o Mechanical equipment
o Electrical equipment
o Basic boiler-making tasks
• Evaluate repair and modification requests for plant equipment and systems to determine causes of malfunctions and necessary modifications.
• Delegate daily tasks and ensure completion according to standards.
• Check spare parts inventory and follow up on procurement.
• Identify persistent issues and assist in resolving them.
• Allocate tasks in the absence of the Foreman/Superintendent.
Production Process
• Understand production processes to ensure equipment availability, prevent customer complaints, and identify potential future failures.
Administration
• Maintain proper records and documentation for follow-up and continuous improvement.
• Attend meetings in the absence of the Foreman/Superintendent.
• Ensure employees adhere to timekeeping policies.
• Conduct plant inspections and report faulty equipment.
